Guidance on trip costs

£10 per person for day for boat hire
    • Includes paddles, spraydeck, helmet, bouyancy aid
    • Applies to Kayaks and open canoes, per person
£5 per person per day for coaching costs
    • Applies to all paddlers including coaches who aren’t instructing
Trailer costs levied on the club by UWOAC will be paid by the club and not charged to paddlers taking part
Fuel money to be shared out among drivers and paddlers on a per trip basis
    • As a guide, reviewing trips in 2014, most paddlers paid £12 for fuel per trip
Any accommodation costs incurred for overnight rips will be publicised in advance, and must be paid for in full before the trip
    • This is normally in stages, with a non-refundable deposit to secure the place, with final payment a few days before the trip
The club tries to be fair and practical with regards to passing costs onto paddlers. Trips are not run with the view to making a profit, but to sustain coaches development to enable trips to continue to run in the future
