  • On current advice, we expect to be resuming club activities in April
    • Taster open day at £10pp on Saturday 10 April for people new to the club (see taster sessions page)
    • First lake session for members will be Monday 12 April (see member booking page)

Please do not attend is you have or have had any symptoms of Covid-19 or to the best of your knowledge been in close contact with someone who has displayed symptoms in the last 21 days.

The coronavirus outbreak has made everyone situations challenging, we are keen to get people on the water to have fun and enjoy yourselves again. That said please rest assured we take the coronavirus outbreak seriously, the club has worked hard to ensure we are a Covid secure environment.
Please take time to read the Covid rules in the membership pack or taster pack to help keep everyone safe.
We aim to enable our members to get out on different environments with a combination of peer-led and coach-led trips.

One of our outdoor sessions on a Monday night will be at a local canal or river. Kit hire is offered as on any trips but unless we have arranged otherwise we will expect members to be able to transport the kit from the Lake to the paddling location.
Once a month we will look to take a day-trip a bit further afield. We offer a nominal charge for transporting kit and if coached, we will also ask for a small fee to cover coaching expenses. Often the coaches are volunteers from the club so the fees are to cover their travel and to reinvest in supporting coaching in the club.

We also run several weekend trips over the year including whitewater, surfing, sea-kayaking and touring. These will include camping or staying a bunk-house (depending on the time of year). Accommodation, external coaching and local kit hire are charged at cost if organised by the club, though in some cases the trip organiser will provide contact details so members can make their own arrangements.
